5.17. Radical and conrod bearings - check and selection
1. Radical and conrod bearings at capital repairs of the engine are subject to obligatory replacement, however the bearings which were in operation should be checked carefully to restore the general condition of the engine at the time of repair.
2. Insufficient lubricant because of the wrong assembly (overlapping of channels, a small gap), pollution and penetration of foreign particles (untimely replacement of oil and the filter, violation of consolidations), frequent overloads of the engine and corrosion are causes of destruction of bearings of a bent shaft (is caused by frequent short trips). Irrespective of the reason which caused destruction of bearings it should be eliminated.
3. If the crankshaft does not pereshlifovyvatsya, then it is necessary to pick up bearings of standard dimensional group (after regrinding of necks only repair bearings are installed). After selection it is necessary to check gaps in bearings.

5. On 4-cylinder engines on the 2nd and 4th necks group B inserts are established (if the crankshaft did not pereshlifovyvatsya). The group of inserts of necks 1,3 and 5 (And or In) is beaten out on the pallet (photo).
