13.9. Epiploons of a forward reducer - replacement

Epiploon of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer
1. Merge oil from a reducer case
2. Lift a front of the car and establish on supports.
3. Disconnect the driveshaft from a flange of a forward reducer.
4. Turn off a nut of a reducer (photo), having screwed bolts in a flange and having rested the screw-driver.
5. Press a flange of a reducer (photo).
6. Hook and accurately get an epiploon.
7. Put universal lubricant in an epiploon and press in a case a mandrel.
8. Dress a flange, turn and tighten a reducer nut with the set moment.
9. By means of a dynamometer key with a scale of m check the moment of resistance to a provorachivaniye of the leading gear wheel of a reducer for several N., having turned for a nut clockwise. The moment is equal to a preliminary tightness in bearings. If the moment is less than norm, then tighten a nut. If the moment exceeds norm, then the expansion plug of bearings will be damaged, the reducer should be sorted and replaced the plug.

13. Get an epiploon.
14. Press a new epiploon.
15. Put universal lubricant in an epiploon and press in a case a mandrel.
16. Establish a flange and a half shaft.

17. Turn off 4 bolts of fastening of the case of the bearing and the right shaft of a reducer (photo).
18. Clamp a half shaft in a vice, having laid wooden whetstones.
19. Carefully cut down the plug from a shaft (photo).

21. Install a half shaft in the case, tighten the case of the bearing and a vypressuyta a shaft from the bearing (photo).
22. Hook and get an epiploon from the bearing case. Press a new epiploon blows through whetstone.
23. Remove the case of the bearing and dress on a shaft. Dress the new plug. Press a shaft in the case (it is recommended to execute in car service).
24. Other operations are carried out upside-down.
